why are you using f2py? also what machine are you on? Looks like you have either no display, or a strange display that is not supported by Qt. Do you have other programs with GUIs that work?
I am not using, f2py it is there with the tracker. my machine is ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I do not recall that I have a Gui application similar to tracker.
