Rupen Panday is an Electrical Engineer with a primary focus on process control of fluidized bed systems. He has been active in development of solids circulation rate measurement techniques in circulating fluidized beds for energy applications. He has also developed techniques for the measurement of a moving bedheight in a large-scale circulating fluidized bed standpipe. He was the principal investigator of the Third Challenge Problem on multiphase flow systems sponsored by NETL in May 2009. He is the principal instrumentation and control engineer for the Multiphase Flow Science Laboratory facility.
