Kyle Buchheit, Ph. D.

Dr. Buchheit is currently an ORISE postdoctoral research fellow at NETL. He obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering (2010), B.A. in Economics (2010), M.S. in Applied Mathematics (2013), and Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering (2015) from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. During his graduate work, he was a contractor for Systems Analyses and Solutions, Inc. performing flowsheet modeling analysis for biomass gasification along with hazardous operability studies. His doctoral dissertation involved the modeling of a coal, wind, and small modular nuclear reactor hybrid energy system.
