Hello, an error was reported when running the 3.10 in tutorials.“DT<DT_MIN. Recovery not possible!”. What could be the problem?
Here is the setting in Run, same as tutorials.
Tutorial 3.10 runs without errors for me.
In your screenshot, I see that “Time step factor” is set at 0.5, while the default value is 0.9. Did you change this setting? (It should not lead to divergence)
It’s possible that you made an error setting up the case. Please attach your project files (“Submit bug report”) so I can check. Or go through the settings carefully, comparing against the tutorial.

Sorry to pardon, sir, I have another question in Tutorials 3.10, I have followed the instruction to construct the geometry and checked twice, but in the step select facets for Wall regions, my number is 4083 while the tutorial was 4003, I could not find out the reason. The simulation reported the error unsuccessful seeding, if this deviation contributes to the error? As I indeed learned DEM initial conditions settings in Tutorial 3.9 that unsuccessful seeding stems from the IC settings, I still wondered how cao I correct this error, plz? You can ignore the difference in number of STL triangles, this is most probably coming from changes in the vtk filter from the time the tutorial documentation was written and the MFiX version you are using. The reason the seeding fails is you have set the lattice to cubic and spacing to 0.1. Please keep the default values of hexagonal lattice and a spacing of 0.05 and the seeding should succeed.
