Yes. The challenge with STL files that CAD packages produce is that they often contain many high aspect ratio triangles with MFIX has trouble with. I have not used Solid Works in a long time and forget what options they have for exporting STL files. If there is anything that can be used to improve the triangle aspect ratios, I suggest playing with that.
