Hi,
I am using MFiX 22.3 GUI (Ubuntu 18.04.5 with GNU 7.5.0) with cartesian cut cell coordinates for modelling vertical transport with 3D TFM. I find solids accumulating in the smaller cut cells and it would appear unphysical.
Below are paraview screenshots (showing the pipe outlet cross-section at 2s process time) for the 1 m long pipe case for which I have attached the bug report.
I subsequently ran the case for a 2 m long pipe (with double the number of cells) and below is the paraview screenshot of the pipe outlet cross-section at 4s process time. As it can be seen, solids are better spread out through out the periphery as is expected, however there is still solids accumulation in some of the smaller cut cells which would appear unphysical.
Please let me know if I am missing something. Please also let me know if there are better options (within the Mesher or the Numerics tab for example) to prevent or minimize this.
Thank you.
