Can MFiX's CFD-DEM (SQP) model be used to generate a "resolved solution"—specifically, where the particle size exceeds the mesh size?

I am considering using MIFX’s CFD-SQP module. I would like to inquire whether this module supports "resolved CFD-DEM” —specifically, the approach that resolves the flow around each individual particle ( at least 8 CFD cells per particle diameter).

Hi and welcome to the MFiX forum. MFiX does not resolve flow around particles, for SQP or any other model. The grid size must be larger than the particle diameter.
