I tried running a simulation of a 2D DEM fluidised bed with a dimension of 0.42m x 0.086m with a write interval of 0.01s for the VTK output for a simulation time of 1s and I managed to obtain some results with it. However, when I tried another simulation using a smaller dimension of 0.1m x 0.08m with a write interval of 0.005 for the VTK output for a simulation time of 0.5s, I have encountered a problem where dt<dt_min, which is a convergence problem i think. Both of these simulation use around 30,000 particles. I’m not sure why the smaller dimension is having some problems compared to the larger one. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the file for one that I’m having a problem with if you would like to take a look.
