Compressible CFD-DEM

Hi，I want to simulate compressible CFD-DEM with Ma>1, can this softwall do this ?

I guess not.
Basically, MFix uses PISO/SIMPLE algorithm, which is pressure-based solver.

But，in MFIX, fluid densiy can be setted to “idea gas model”. If this implies that it can simulate compressible fluid.

I think it doesn’t conflict.
If your temperature is very high, let’s say, 1000K, according to
p=rho R T
The density will be very small (assuming pressure is atmosphere)

But high speed flow is totally another thing, it is compressible because of the “ high speed”, especially when it approaches sound speed.
