I’m currently working on a simulation involving chemical reactions. When I use the MFIX-DEM method, the simulation runs successfully. However, after switching to the MFIX-GSP method—where I equated the GSP particle size to the DEM particle size and adjusted the grid resolution accordingly based on particle size, while keeping all other settings unchanged—the simulation appears to start but performs no iterations at all. This confuses me: is the GSP method unsuitable for simulations involving chemical reactions? If it is suitable, could you please provide me with a relevant example or case study for reference and learning?
