I am trying to use DEM solids model for a 2D hopper that is initially filled with particles. I have all the IC’s defined and I am trying to use the gener_part_config command in the input file but no particles are populating in any of the IC regions.
can you post your *.mfx or mfix.dat file
@kaylee.m.smith my apologies, i forgot about this post. were you able to figure it out? Without running it i’m guessing that it’s because NO_K = .TRUE. and you have no zlength so the pgen has no volume to populate particles. I would strongly recommend NOT using 2d or pseudo2d for DEM anyway.
