Error: GLSL 1.50 is not supported

If you are running via some kind of remote display, you need to use vglrun.

If you are trying to run locally, it might be possible that your graphics card is too slow.
Can you run glxinfo and paste the result here?

This posting https://discourse.vtk.org/t/error-glsl-1-50-is-not-supported/1444 from the VTK forum may be helpful.

Have you tried setting MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.2 as suggested at Error GLSL 1.50 is not supported. - Support - VTK ? If that doesn’t work you may find other help on the VTK forum … this is more of a VTK issue than an MFiX one (although we are happy to try to help)
