Got this error when working with mfix22.4, this happens regardless the project loaded, ie. even if it is a tutorial so unlikely to be project setting. Also did not happen when working with 22.3.

Hi Stephan, welcome to the MFiX forum, and thanks for downloading and trying version 22.4!
You have found a small bug in the software, no colormap has yet been defined but the GUI is trying to access it.
This is a bug but fortunately only a minor one - you can hit “Cancel” (which maybe should be labed “Continue anyway”), and ignore this. We will fix this in the next MFiX update.
The bigger problem is that your case won’t run as-is - when I try to run it I get this message:
Error from des/read_particle_input.f:74
Error 1100: FATAL - DEM particle input file not found!
You need to either enable automatic particle generation or provide a particle_input.dat file.
If I ignore the colormap error, and enable particle generation, your case runs without error.
