Factor defining particle neighborhood

Hi everyone,

The attached figure shows the outer cutoff. Then, the factor defining particle neighborhood is 1.25 or 1.5?

The answer is 1.5. It never hurts to have this factor too high, it just defines the region used for searching. Too high: slower runtime. Too low: particle collisions may be missed.
