Is MFiX-PIC same as Discrete Phase Method (DPM) in Fluent?

I don’t know about fluent. MFiX-PIC is based on the work of Dale Snider. The MFIX-PIC theory guide is here: https://edx.netl.doe.gov/dataset/the-mfix-particle-in-cell-method-mfix-pic-theory-guide.

Here is Dale’s paper:

Dale and others created the commercial code Barracuda, https://cpfd-software.com/, based on this method.
