I happened to come across information about Nodeworks and was really drawn to its features for automatically generating MFIX files and its machine learning capabilities. However, it seems there’s no updated version available now, right? When I clicked on the link https://mfix.netl.doe.gov/doc/nodeworks/23.1.0//mfix-plugin/start/install.html and tried to access the Nodeworks page, it showed “Page Not Found.”
It’s true that Nodeworks hasn’t been under active development since roughly 2018. But you should still be able to install and use it. When I click on that link you provided, it opens.
Also, the MFiX plugin may be suspect because there has been a lot of development on that in the last 7+ years, so there should be no assumption that it will work correctly.
It’s just a broken link. From the MFS homepage, you can click on Products in the upper banner, scroll down to Nodeworks, over to Download Nodeworks and see that the correct address is now at https://mfix.netl.doe.gov/products/nodeworks/download/ We’ll fix the docs.
What a pity.
Regarding Nodeworks as an MFIX plugin, has its functionality been replaced by something else, or is it simply that no one is updating it anymore?
Alright, I have now found the correct download path. Thank you.![]()
Nodeworks should work with the most recent versions of MFiX. If it doesn’t please let us know! (With a thorough report including all files needed to reproduce the problem)

Thank you for your reply. I will try to get Nodeworks running with the MFiX 25.2 and will promptly report any issues I encounter on the forum.
