Is there any tutorial about how to give a constant temperature or constant heat flux to stl wall?

,

Hi everyone,

I am a new learner of MFIX and I am learning heat transfer part of DEM and PIC. I want to set a case with constant temperature or constant heat flux for stl wall, so as to realize a case like heater. However, I only saw tutorials with udf of chemical reaction. I wonder if there is any tutorial about how to give a constant temperature or constant heat flux to stl wall? or a case like heater, etc. So I can set my case based on the tutorial udf.

Thank you so much!

I don’t think there is a tutorial on this. But I can say so much that stl surfaces sometimes do set limitations for boundary conditions. I have only experience with using an stl as an inlet, and this way I was only allowed to specify the flow rate in kg/s, which is different than the usual m/s.
Have you tried to set up yourself what you describe, and see what options that become available? Perhaps this is a better way to get help.

Ok thank you~ I’ll give it a try.
