We’re happy to announce that MFiX 24.4.1 is available for download. This version fixes a few bugs in the 24.4 release.
- Improved support for reading chemical reactions from a file in the Chemkin format
- Fixed floating-point exception in des_reaction_model.f (line 109)
- Improved performance of particle preview in VTK Model pane
- Fixed erroneous warning for ARRHENIUS_RRATES_FLUID
- Improved handling of default mpirun flags, for compatibility with other MPI versions
- Improved performance of DES reaction model when stiff chemistry is enabled
- Do not flood the output with warnings about flow rate conversion
This is a fairly minor update, users probably do not need to upgrade unless one of the above issues is affecting you. The 25.1 release should be coming out at the end of March and all users should upgrade then.
