For pure granular flow simulation in MFix DEM, is it necessary to use fluid medium properties like air or water for transferring heat between particle-particle contact?
Do I need to specify particle fluid lens thickness and minimum gap distance between particles and the wall?
In the rotating drum heat transfer simulation, they have considered the gas phase properties except gas phase density zero for pure granular flow. But what if there is no gas phase at all? How is it going to affect the heat transfer between particles?
