PIC settings for small heavy particles

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone used PIC simulation for fine but heavy particles.
I am trying to create a model that would verify results from an article as my starting point.
I’m looking at particles in the 45 micrometer size with 7700 kg/m3.
I was wondering if the default settings for solids in PIC would be a good starting point or if given the size/density combo some other numbers would be better to start.

Thank you in advance

What “default settings” are you referring to? In the PIC model (as in all MFiX models) particle size and density are user inputs, not defaults.

I was thinking more about the good starting points for pressure linear scale factor, empirical dampening factor and the restitution coefficients.

Oh I see. I do not have any good suggestions, I suspect you will have to experment with this a bit. Please let us know how it works out.

Thanks, and will definitely do.
