Hello,
I’m running into a pressure/temperature issue implementing reactions in my CFD-DEM case.
This a drying case, so there should be both solid and gas products.
I’m seeing a spike in the fluid pressure residual at the start (expected since I’m generating the gas product), the solver runs for a few timesteps, then outputs some default values 9.88e+31 for the rest of the timesteps.
Is there a recommended way to approach this num. stability issue for the gas pressure?
I think I want a flux-limiter discretization scheme to capture the pressure spike from the reaction turning on (no apparent difference between vanLeer and minmod output despite diffusivity?), but am unsure about adjustments like decreasing relaxation factor values, increasing linear equation solver iterations (leq_it(1)), stiff chemistry tolerances, and fluid normalization (norm_g and ppg_den).
Thank you!
