Hello everyone, I’ve been stuck on some CGP questions for a while now. I’ve looked through a lot of literature, but I still haven’t found any answers.
- In MFIX-CGP, for collision force calculations, only the particle mass and diameter are replaced with those of the inclusions. What is the reason for this approach? The paper mentions the absolute overlap model and relative overlap model. The absolute overlap model posits that the contact force of the parcel equals W times the contact force of the real particle, while the relative overlap model states that the contact force equals W^(2/3) times the contact force of the actual particle. W is Statistical weight. Which model does MFIX employ?
