Seeking Optimization Support for MFiX Fluidized Bed Reactor Simulations

We are using MFiX to simulate a chemical reactions in fluidized bed reactor, and we are finding it difficult to optimize simulation time as it’s taking longer for the simulations to complete. We wanted to enquire if there is any support available or if we can get help to optimize the speed and run this on an HPC system

This is a community support forum and help is provided on a “best-effort” basis. If you post your project files, someone might be able to look at them and make some suggestions. If you do not have access to an HPC system, you may be able to rent time on a cloud-based HPC system, examples There’s always AWS but there are several other options which may be better, note we do not endorse or support any of these services.

In addition to HPC, there are measures to speed up simulations like improving the mesh (distributing cells to where they’re needed), normalizing flow-field, and perhaps increasing the maximum timestep. There are no guarantees that any of these will work in your specific case, but they’re a good place to start.
