How can one extract solid volume fraction profiles from a typical MFIX-DEM simulation? For gas volume fraction this can be realized by postmfix but I am stuck on how to exact solid volume fraction. Is it accurate if to assume EP_s = 1-EP_g with EP_g profiles are obtained from postmfix?
Note that Ep_s is an array variable since there can be more than one solids phase. It is correct that
∑Ep_s(m) = 1 - Ep_g
where m ranges from 1 to the number of solids phases.
