Hello everyone,
I have a question about the interpolation width in the solids/DEM panel. My computational domain is a cylindrical fluidized bed. The cell size is around two times the particle doameter. For field-to-particle and particle-to-field
interpolations, according to the prompt on the DEM subpanel, DES_INTERP_WIDTH is recommended to be equal to the max particle diameter when STL defined boundaries are used.
For a cylindrical computational domain, is DES_INTERP_WIDTH recommended to be equal to the particle size if they are monodisperse uniform particles?
Why the interpolation width is recommended to be equal to the max particle diameter when STL defined boundaries are used?
Thank you.
