Hello, I am trying to simulate a CFD-DEM case where there is fluid flow from the inlet (specified in the screenshot) and particles are to be introduced through the particle_zone initial condition. I need to add turbulence in this simulation. I studied that one way of introducing turbulence is to specify the k and epsilon value at the beginning with a initial condition where t=0. If I do that, the flow velocity does not continue throughout the domain for the full simulation time. But if I specify them as a boundary condition, the flow velocity will persist but I am not sure about the k and epsilon value in this case. As, the values would most likely change with the development of the flow as per the theory. Also, I need to introduce the particles in a fully developed flow. I am not entirely sure how to properly do that while maintaining the turbulence in the fluid flow. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help me with this issue. I can provide the .mfx file if anyone needs.
