I’m trying to setup a reacting case, and looking at the silane pyrolysis example for inspiration. I have the case working already in TFM, but I face some additional challenges with PIC. But it is not so easy to see what exactly that is wrong. It runs for quite a few iterations, 11 minutes on 8 cpu, before it fails. Could it be the time step, or any other clues?
Thanks. I did try a few things, reducing timestep being one of them, and for the first time it’s running somewhat stable. Timestep was reduced to 0.001.
I wonder if this can be related - I have at two different occasions now got unphysical temperatures, this time too low (50K), but the last time it exceeded 4000K. The process should be quite stable around 700K, although has a reaction going. Is this mesh related? Or should I adjust relaxation or numerical scheme for energy equation? I am in the process of refining the mesh, the same setup has run much farther with a coarser mesh.
