Hi, everyone. I’m a beginner to the MFiX , so I started with the tutorials. After I finished every step as instructed by the documentation of tutorial 3.3 and hit run, the running stopped in a few seconds, showing the following error:
“Error from set_icbc_flags.f:211
Fatal error reported on one or more processes. The .LOG file
may contain additional information about the failure.”
I’ve gone through the posts here and couldn’t find one related, please advise me on how to fix or troubleshoot this. Thank you beforehand for any guidance.

I was previously working on my Windows Device. I later switched to my mac and tried. The same error showed up but a clearer error message is given:
“Message from set_icbc_flags.f:196
Error 1100 (PE 0) : No initial or boundary conditions specified in the following cells:”

I found a post regarding other simulation but with similar problem, tried the solution offered there, and it worked. It turned out to be a checkbox for default BC setting in the BC pane.
Do neglect me if if it’s just me being too much a rookie, yet I really think it would be helpful if the error message in Windows system could be more “noticeable”.
Also, I checked the documentations for the tutorials there seems to be no text description or image about this default setting checkbox (especially tutorials are meant to be for beginners), otherwise it’s really hard for a beginner like me to troubleshoot.
