I want to do a model in which the smaller particle will impact and adhere to the larger particle by Van der waal force. it can calculate when the cell size is larger and the mesh is 101010. In the same time, the cell size is about 10 times larger than the smaller particles size. However, when the cell size and smaller particles are both set more smaller (the mesh maybe 200200200 to ensure the smaller particle is 100nm) and the timestep also reduced, the case can not calculated. The error is floating or Segmentation fault. I am very confused about that why reducing the cell size influence the calculation. How i should do to let the case running in smaller cell size.
