Hello everyone,I’m getting errors in the values of the number of collocations, maximum overlap, etc. when I’m in the SMP calculations for CFD-DEM. I noticed a sentence in the calc_force_dem.f file, “! Note: Force Chain Data does not work in SMP”. I’m wondering if it’s still not possible to output data such as coordination number, force chain, etc. in SMP even in version 25.1?
We should probably add a run-time check for force chain+SMP so users don’t have to go search for comments in the code.
Hi Charles, MFIX did prompt me when in the SMP run. So at the moment we can’t get data such as coordination numbers in SMP? I tried it and it really doesn’t work, so won’t the SMP+Force Chain feature be updated for later versions?
I’m not sure how much work would be required to fix this. We’ll look into it, but I can’t promise anything.
