What is the particle-paticle conduction time in the MFiX-DEM

Hello, dear everyone!
I am studying the heat transfer in MFiX-DEM, and I encountered a problem:

It is easy to imgaine how the MFiX treat other heat transfer mechnism in terms of time(like convection), because all of them are continuous heat transfer(i.e., they transfer the heat all the time, so we only need the heat transfer per second).

But the situation is totally different in contact conduction, where the contact is discrete, and the heat transfer only happens when two particles contact.

However, I searched the codes and official literatures but I hardly found mentioned the contact duration or contact time that calcualted for the conduction.

Could someone tell me how the conduction works? Especially, what is the conduction time in MFiX?

Thanks!

I think the conduction between solids and convection heat between solid and gas both follow the dem timestep. So there is no special conduction time. It is suggested you can read the paper published in CEJ by Lu.
