*The old build-deploy workflow for github pages is DEPRECIATED. Remove the Makefile that was previously used to build the docs.
*The old top-level index.html and the gallery are currently inaccessible. Because the gallery is out of date and the workflow of building sphinx docs into webroot is DEPRECIATED, I decided to just nuke it all.
If we ever want the text/links/html of the gallery back, we'll have to cherry pick it out of an older commit.
