Dear developer, I would like to ask if the particles will escape from the mass inlet of boundary condition. Sometimes the mass flow value of the particles can be monitored to escape from the mass inlet, but sometimes the monitor value is 0. Could you tell me the actual program logic? Thank you!
In DEM, particles are injected in a discrete fashion, not continuously. The monitor only detects particles crossing the inlet plane at specific times, so it is possible that it returns a value of zero.
Sorry, I didn’t express my question clearly. I mean, non-zero value of the flow rate of the particle can also be monitored at bc1 in the figure. In theory, its values should all be 0.
