Can I share MFiX installation with students?

Dear MFiX team,

I am a phd student at the Technical University of Denmark. We have an undergraduate course which touches on particle dynamics and I was thinking of creating an exercise, where the students play around with some DEM simulations. I thought MFiX would be a great fit since the GUI makes it easy to get started with.

To this end I was wondering if I can share the miniforge installation guide or the code directly with the students?

I do not know where else to ask hope this is not a big inconvenience.

Best Regards,

Simon

Thank you for using MFiX for your course. If you are going to install MFiX on an HPC system, you can have IT install MFiX as a module that all students can access. If each student is going to install MFiX on their own computer, they can register to get the installation command, which contains a unique token. You may run into issues if you share the token (it expires after 24 hours and has limit on how many IP addresses it can be used from simultaneously). If you run into installation issue, let us know.

Perfect! We will just have them run through the hpc i think.

Thanks again!
