Error , block cell takes up 90%

Hi
I got an error report saplates.zip (99.4 KB) id there is no CFD domain. All the cells are blocked.

There are several issues:

  1. The STL normals are pointing in the wrong direction. This is a common issue, please see https://mfix.netl.doe.gov/doc/mfix/19.1.4/reference/faq.html#how-to-verify-flip-stl-file-facet-normals

  2. There may be duplicate or small triangles in the STL, as indicated in the console:

 STL file(s) successfully read.
 Total number of facets read =   208
 Number of valid facets      =   144
 Number of ignored facets    =    64

You should aim for zero ignored facets. Either fix the STL file (recommended), or set the “facet angle tolerance” to zero in the Mesh>Mesher pane.

  1. The mesh is way too coarse to resolve the thin chevron plates. This may be a deal breaker since the mesh you will need to resolve the plates may be finer than the particle size.
