How does MAX_INLET_VEL_FAC work?

I met the same problem before.

But i don’t why do we need to modify the value of MAX_INLET_VEL_FAC, and what is the reason making the intermediate velocity values exceed the boundary value? Is it due to numerial method? And by modifying the the value of MAX_INLET_VEL_FAC, whether the simulation results will be affected or not?

From my experience, if you are exceeding MAX_INLET_VEL_FAC then something is probably wrong. Check your setup, BCs, mesh (small cells), chemistry, etc…

If you really think that the velocity is correct, then you can change MAX_INLET_VEL_FAC.
