How to achieve diagonal air intake

Is there a way to achieve diagonal air intake like the one shown in the figure below?:thinking:

This should be easy to create with an STL editor such as OpenSCAD or possibly using Procedural STL inside of MFiX itself. What have you tried? How did you produce the image above?

I want to achieve this using point sources. I created a region to add point sources, but this region doesn’t seem to be rotatable — it can only be aligned parallel to an axis.

It is best to let the inlet stick out of the MFix box. You can define ymin to be around where the blue line is, then you can define a regular MI BC along the y=ymin plane, and set the velocity components so the velocity direction aligns with the inlet tube.

Thanks, I get your point. Just one quick thing – should the UVW‑velocity numbers match the mass flow rate? And is my current filling in the figure okay?

This looks like a point source setting. I am suggesting you apply a Mass inlet BC and set the velocity component along the inlet plane, not the flow rate.
