I am trying to simulate the rotating drum involving heat transfer (pure granular flow case).
I have checked with small number of particles initially but something is wrong with the rotation.
The side walls have conflicting BC. You have the rotating drum side walls that are moving and the static walls along the MFiX box. If the side walls are adiabatic, and the perimeter wall is heated, then you need to split the STL file and make sure the stl walls are away from the default BCs.
You should also use a coarser des mesh say 20x20x1. When outputting particles in the vtp files, use a selection mode of “particle center inside region”. If you use “Entire particle inside region” you will miss those that overlap with the region boundary.
