Is there any tutorial on layered surface model in MFiX. The layers will have different diameters and properties. I need to develop a layered surface model with 3 layers. I look forward to hearing about suggestions on how to set up this model.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Sincerely,
Debashis
In this slide, I see multi-layered surfaces. Is it possible to do this in MFiX-DEM ? Is there any tutorial on this ?
Please let me know.
Thanks, and Regards,
Debashis
I think these were set up using several Initial Condition regions, one on top of the other. This will create separate regions. Then a granular simulation is run where particles settle under gravity to create the layers. A particle_output.csv file is saved at the end of the simulation and used as Initial Conditions for the actual discharge simulation (the file particle_output.csv need to be renamed to particle_input.csv for the discharge simulation).
