MFiX DEM multi-stage analysis

Hi,
I’m just wondering how to model in MFiX multi-stage DEM case. For example, let’s assume that analysis has 4 stages:

  1. Particles generation
  2. Particles settling
  3. Geometry move with some velocity
  4. Particles settling

I have read that user can pause calculations, modify parameters and restart, or after calculation finish modify end time and restart but how to define all that stages before hit run button?

I would be grateful if someone could point out where to find more information about that kind of workflow in MFiX, or maybe a working example or tutorial.

There are some examples of moving geometries you can run from the GUI:

These require UDF to specify the geometry movement. It also only works for granular flow (the fluid phase doesn’t see the change in geometry).
