I used MFIX 21.2 for biomass gasification simulation. Below is the geometric boundary, below is the nitrogen inlet, left is the biomass inlet, and the yellow part is sand.
The TFM model was used to define the solid particle sand and biomass, and the biomass was directly introduced into the bed sand by the velocity inlet. However, it was found in the calculation that the volume fraction of biomass was always zero, as shown in the figure below.
