Hello everyone

Continuing the discussion from Simulation is not running; solver stops immediately after a few seconds - MFiX - NETL Flow Science Software Support

Could you please assist me with running the attached file? I’ve been doing this simulation for the past two weeks and have no idea how to solve this error. I’ve already attempted to implement all of the suggestions made on the forum. Please provide me with guidance on how to address this as I am in severe need of assistance. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try to improve the mesh? I see you have high aspect ratio (60) cells and some small stl triangles. This can probably be improved.

Sorry, I’m new to MFiX and therefore I am having some difficulties. Will better meshing fix the aspect ratio and stl triangles issues?
Is meshing the major reason my simulation isn’t converging?

Yes, poor mesh guality is a frequent cause of convergence failure. Please see 8.4. Frequently Asked Questions — MFiX 22.1 documentation
