Losing particles in the simulation domain

Hi Mfixers! I am trying to modify the souce code in calc_force_dem.f by changing the van der waals model. However, with the modified source code, I lost particles in the fluidized beds (see the figure below). I am new with MFIX. I hope somebody can help with solving this problem. Thanks!
