I am doing a parametric study on MFiX-DEM particle simulations.
I am varying particle diameter and all the frictional properties as well.
I see that both the particle diameter and the frictional properties influences the timestep.
My question is whether MFiX-DEM uses dynamic timestep ?
Is there any section of the user guide where this time stepping is discussed for the solid particle only DEM simulations ?
I looked into 12.1.5. Discrete element model (DEM) — MFiX 24.3.1 documentation but could not find much.
Kindly let me know where I can find more about solid timestep in DEM and the factors that influence it.
