The NETL 2016 Workshop on Multiphase Flow Science was held in Morgantown, WV on August 9 – 10. The Workshop brings together leaders from industry, academia, and government laboratories to discuss current projects and future R&D in the area of Multiphase Flow Science. The workshop continues to promote innovation and research into multiphase flow numerical modeling and experimentation.
There were 35 presentations and over 80 attendees. This year’s workshop covered topics such as multiphase CFD modeling at Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), an overview of high pressure oxy-fluid bed combustion work at CanmetEnergy, and multiphase flow research on the International Space Station.
The sharing of research and experience is valuable to the work of moving Multiphase Flow Science forward. We are pleased to host this event and look forward to future workshops.
