The 2023 Multiphase Flow Science Workshop was held from August 1 through August 2, 2023.
The workshop, which was held virtually, had 181 registered participants from across many national and international universities, national laboratories, research centers, and industries.
During the course of two days, 38 presentations were made in areas of interest to the multiphase community such as fundamental research in multiphase flow, advancements in CFD model development for multiphase flows, application of multiphase CFD to industrial systems such as carbon capture, renewable energy, gasification, combustion, chemical and biological processes, novel measurement and experimental techniques in multiphase flows, and Machine Learning techniques for application to the study of multiphase flows.
