New features:
- New adaptive time step option (nice dt): The fluid time step is automatically adjusted during a simulation. Instead of specifying a constant factor to decrease/increase the time step, a new option constrains the time step to "nice" values (0.001, 0.002, 0.003 etc.).
- Stiff solver tolerances can be set through new keywords (chemistry pane).
- Particle mass and volume can now be saved in the vtp files.
Improvements:
- More accurate DEM seeding (initial condition) when using Particle Size Distribution.
- Treat compiler warnings as fatal when building mfixsolver.
- Faster loading of large files in the GUI text editor.
- [Windows] Added desktop icon and start menu entries for launching MFIX.
Notable bug fixes:
- Fixed error when renaming a geometry element in GUI.
- Fixed error when setting CGP statistical weight in GUI.
- Fixed bug that was resetting DEM interpolation scheme to SQUARE_DPVM when loading
.mfxfile. - Fixed Floating point exception traps.
- Fixed solver compilation issues on CentOS.
