Dr. Marayikkottu is a multiphase flow computational scientist at Leidos Inc. His research focuses on developing models for gas-solid systems using machine learning and conducting applied computational studies related to reactors. He is particularly interested in understanding and simulating gas-particle flows, spanning both high-speed and low-speed regimes, with a focus on particulate methods such as DSMC and PIC.
Dr. Marayikkottu earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calicut in 2014, an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2016, and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering with graduate concentration in Computational Science and Engineering from UIUC in 2023.
