David Huckaby

David received his Candidate in Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering, University of California – Los Angeles and has been at NETL since 2000.  He is currently involved in three computational fluid dynamics projects for Chemical Looping, Magnetohydrodynamic Power Generation and Membrane-Based Gas Separation. Previous projects have included Flame Ionization, LNG Dispersion and Sorbent-Based CO2 Capture.  The activities of these projects have included code development, validation and application to help improve the understanding of these technologies and the supporting science.  Close collaboration with NETL experimental groups has been a central element of this work experience.  MFIX, OpenFOAM and Fluent as well supporting libraries such as Cantera, SUNDIALS have been used to support this research.
