Janine Galvin, Ph.D.

Dr. Galvin is currently working as a research scientist at NETL.  She obtained her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho, and her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado.  Previous research work includes development of fundamental modeling of polydisperse particulate flows in CFD software.  Her research interests are in the areas of CFD development and modeling of granular flows and multiphase gas-solids fluidization.  She is currently working on development of solvent absorption simulation in MFIX using the two-fluid model approach.  This simulation may be refined to examine radial and axial inhomogeneity in the column and effects of liquid
